Challenge
In 2012, Fidelity Bank, a well-established top-tier retail bank, faced a dual challenge. Federal banking regulations mandated an abrupt rebranding as a commercial lender, disrupting its market positioning. Simultaneously, Wichita’s aerospace industry – and the city’s economy at large – was in steep decline, fostering an environment of economic uncertainty. Fidelity’s mission became clear: redefine its identity and build trust as a commercial lender while inspiring a struggling community.
Insight
The solution was Bravely Onward – a rallying cry that served as both a pledge to the city and a promise to its people. Within nine months, perceptions of Fidelity’s commercial lending strength soared by 300%. Since then, Bravely Onward has remained a powerful unifying message, driving record profits year after year and solidifying Fidelity’s leadership across commercial, mortgage, and retail banking.

Wichita was at a defining crossroads. Would they rest on recent progress, or continue to push their hometown further? This was our chance to tell an incredible story featuring real Wichitans seizing opportunity. Investing over nearly a year of production, we captured the gritty, diverse stories of five inspiring locals. We then extended the conversation through pre-rolls, social media and web videos that unveiled a deeper look at their journeys. “Opportunity” was no longer a vague idea, it became an urgent invitation to the entire city.
