Challenge
Avoiding a traditional athlete endorsement, we needed to tell a story that felt earned. By connecting Tristan Wirfs’ Iowa farm upbringing to the discipline required at the highest level of the NFL, the work had to feel authentic to both worlds: real labor and elite performance. For Academy, in partnership with Carhartt, the story had to honor the grind that shaped Tristan well ahead of game day.
Insight
For Tristan, work has always been the warm-up. Long before Sundays under stadium lights, strength was built through repetition, grit, and unglamorous labor. The campaign revealed a simple truth: greatness is not switched on, it is earned daily. Carhartt, available at Academy, naturally belongs in that space, outfitting the work that builds champions long before anyone is watching.
