Visit Wichita, the city’s official destination marketing organization, has hired Idea Ranch to usher in a new era of creative direction, storytelling and strategic branding aimed at increasing tourism to the area, bolstering economic impact and inspiring local pride.
The partnership brings together two organizations that believe in the power of Wichita’s story; its grit, its charm, and its unexpected energy. Idea Ranch will partner with Visit Wichita developing brand strategy, creative campaigns, and media planning to spotlight the city’s authentic experiences and draw visitors from near and far.
“Wichita is a city full of heart, character, and originality,” said Susie Santo, President and CEO of Visit Wichita. “We were looking for a partner who understands the marriage of creativity and performance, and Idea Ranch was the perfect fit. Their work reflects not just where Wichita is today, but where we’re headed.”
With deep roots in Wichita and a national reputation for emotionally resonant work, Idea Ranch will lean into a storytelling-first approach supported by documentary-style photography and human-centered messaging. The new creative direction invites both travelers and locals to experience the city in ways that feel refreshingly real and distinctly Wichita.
“Wichita is historically and economically significant, with a long history of entrepreneurial energy that touches every part of this city,” said Heath Kennedy, Chief Client Officer of Idea Ranch. “We’re honored to help amplify that spirit and show people just how much there is to discover here. This is the kind of work that makes us proud to be a part of the Wichita community.”
New work will begin rolling out in 2026, reflecting a refreshed vision of Wichita’s identity, one that celebrates community, creativity, and the joy of finding something unforgettable just a short drive away.
