Rooted in the principles of community, connection, change, and collaboration, C4 represents a comprehensive approach that transcends conventional marketing boundaries, ensuring brands become integral contributors to the communities they engage with. “Buying decisions, which are 70% emotional, rely on trusted relationships – with friends, peers, influencers, and brands. C4 is dedicated to leveraging the power of those connections.” Said Eric Barnes of Idea Ranch.

Idea Ranch will focus on three Pure Archery Group brands – Bowtech, Black Gold, and Excalibur. TULSA, OK – November 23, 2022 – Idea Ranch is thrilled to be recognized in Outside Magazine’s ‘Best Places to Work in 2022’ as an honorable mention. Awarded annually, the list is presented in collaboration with the Outdoor Industry Association and recognizes U.S.-based companies that demonstrate commitment to, and excellence in, employee engagement and wellness.

Among those in the running for recognition, many offer remote flexibility, more time off, and generous health benefits. As stated by Outside in this year’s reveal, “These are the companies meeting that bar and more, while encouraging their employees to live an active lifestyle and allowing them to achieve a healthy work-life balance.”

Companies featured on the list were judged based on an in-depth exploration of benefits, policies, and a survey of its employees. In addition to paid maternity and paternity leave, Idea Ranch invests in its team through benefits such as Summer Fridays, where employees enjoy every other Friday off June through August; Adventure Birthdays, which is an additional vacation day; and a dog-friendly environment, where pups are welcome to wander any of the three Idea Ranch offices in Tulsa, Durango and Wichita.

Beyond these benefits, Idea Ranch takes immense pride in its culture, defined as a combination of what you create, and what you allow. The magic they’ve cultivated is sustained by their seven core values, which are featured on their website, posted on office walls and referred to often.

“This honor is an outward confirmation of what we’ve prioritized and nurtured internally the past few years,” said Chief Executive Officer, Paul Brothers. “We’re getting it right. Our values, purpose, strengths, and most of all – our honesty when we fall short. It’s astonishing what that does for your spirit, your confidence, and your dreams. They get bigger.”

Outside’s 2022 Best Places to Work list can be seen here.

BOZEMAN, MT., September 2, 2020 – The Wild Sheep Foundation (WSF) announces its work with Idea Ranch as the conservation organization plans for its 2021 Sheep Week, a virtual alternative to WSF’s yearly Sheep Show that proudly serves their members, partners, agencies, and supporters.

Since 1977, WSF has functioned as the conservation leader of wild sheep and remains committed to its mission to “Put and Keep Wild Sheep on the Mountain.” The annual Sheep Show is a vital part of the organization’s conservation strategy, in addition to being a boon to the hunting economy.  While the current pandemic has eliminated the organization’s ability to gather with sheep enthusiasts and conservationists in person, WSF remains committed to providing an unrivaled experience for all who rely on the yearly event.

“As with nearly everything in our pandemic world, definitive answers are hard to come by,” said Gray N. Thornton, WSF President and CEO. “Sadly, there is simply no indication that a gathering of our size will be allowed to assemble by the second week of January, masks or no masks. The good news is WSF has enlisted the services of some of the brightest minds in the business to bring you the best and most worthwhile Sheep Week imaginable. We’re proud to partner with Idea Ranch to make this possible.”

“We’re truly honored to serve the Wild Sheep Foundation.  The Sheep Show is one of the greatest events in conservation and we’re excited to assist in developing engaging and best-in-class solutions to serve all who depend on this amazing event each year,” said James B. Lawson, Vice President at Idea Ranch. “We’ll work with WSF and their partners over the coming weeks to ensure that if we won’t all be able to meet in person this January, no one will miss out on Sheep Week 2021.”

Adaptive Sports Center (ASC), a non-profit group that helps people with disabilities participate in a wide range of outdoor activities, has released its latest inspirational short film entitled “Gavin” at the 2020 Virtual Crested Butte Open. “Gavin” tells the story of Gavin Grubbs, an ASC participant who was diagnosed at a very young age of 3-months with Merosin-Negative Congenital Muscular Dystrophy, a disease that causes progressive weakness and loss of muscle mass throughout the body.

Despite the limitations that COVID-19 has put on physical gatherings in 2020, the film (produced in collaboration with Adaptive Sports Center’s pro-bono agency partner, Idea Ranch) premiered August 2 at the Crested Butte Open Gala, an annual event that both inspires ASC participants and encourages financial support for Adaptive Sports Center. The CB Open is an important fundraiser for ASC and COVID-19 required a new approach. In addition to producing the “Gavin’ film, Idea Ranch assisted with the conversion of the event from in-person to virtual, including Zoom style interaction, an online/live auction and live streaming of the film “Gavin”. The film can be viewed here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5PCE993B29M&t=4s

“We have been honored to work with Adaptive Sports Center for several years now. With the current limitations on physical gatherings, we knew the production of this film and its usage in the virtual setting of this year’s event was more important than ever.” says Eric Barnes, Managing Partner and Chief Operating Officer. “We couldn’t be prouder of our relationship with Adaptive Sports Center and the unique opportunity to elevate their stories, such as Gavin’s, and impact the lives of all those touched by their efforts. ASC holds a special place in our hearts and the work we are privileged to do on their behalf is both humbling and inspiring.”

“Each year we have the opportunity to tell the story of an Adaptive Sports Center participant, and each year our hearts are deeply moved. I count it a privilege getting to know these inspiring people and I’m thankful to call them friends. Our team is humbled to tell a part of their amazing stories and how adaptive recreation benefits them and their families.”  Hunter Brothers, Senior Storyteller.

Since 1987, Adaptive Sports Center has provided high-quality recreation to people with disabilities and hosts nearly 800 participants and their families every year, empowering them to take part in a variety of outdoor activities, from skiing and paddle sports to climbing and cycling. ASC participants live with a wide range of disabilities—both physical and, in the case of PTSD, psychological.

Gavin was six years old when he first came in contact with Adaptive Sports Centers. “My disability is a key part of me and the way I act is a product of that and the situation I’m in. If you take that away, it’s completely different and it isn’t me…” Says, Gavin. “It wasn’t just about skiing though… I remember loving it as soon as I started doing it. That’s the most freedom I felt up until that point…”

“When our participants experience an activity they never thought possible it has lasting therapeutic benefit when they return home. The Gavin film not only inspires all of us but empowers ASC participants and emotionally connects our community to our cause at heart. Each year, our ability to communicate stories like Gavin’s is a powerful picture for our staff, volunteers and supporters of the importance of our mission. We’re in this together, the work we do here isn’t possible without them,” Says ASC Director, Chris Hensley

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Idea Ranch is thrilled to announce that Yakima has completed a successful Outdoor + Snow Show, held in Denver, highlighted by award wins for its innovative new rooftop cargo box, CBX SOLAR. The all-new box, featuring an integrated solar panel for charging portable batteries and other devices when off-grid, was awarded Outside Magazine “Gear of Show” and Outdoor Retailer Innovation Awards “Product of the Year” honors.

“Our number-one goal at Yakima is to bring safe, innovative, user-friendly products to market. More than anything, we want to amplify consumers’ enjoyment of the outdoors through the use of products that carry the Yakima name,” said Joel Grabenstein, Vice President of Sales, Brand & Product Marketing at Yakima. “CBX SOLAR is the latest embodiment of that desire, and the journey from concept to reality was a team effort in the truest sense of the phrase. We’re extremely humbled by the recognition it has received from Outside and the Innovation Awards judges.”

The Innovation Awards are designed to “highlight the gear, brands, and shops that are making an impact,” according to Outdoor Retailer. Yakima’s CBX SOLAR was among 30 finalists judged by a 19-member panel and scored “for their design, functionality, sustainability, and ability to inspire.”

“A tremendous amount of work went into the design and development of the new CBX line, and CBX SOLAR in particular,” said Garrett Barnum, Director of Category Management at Yakima. “To receive validation for the collective efforts of the entire Yakima team in the form of these honors, is both incredibly satisfying and rewarding.”

CBX Cargo Box Collection

CBX SOLAR is one of three cargo boxes in the new CBX line, which also includes CBX 16 and CBX 18, 16- and 18-cubic-foot capacity boxes, respectively. Modeled after current high-end automobile trends—both in terms of design and naming convention—the CBX line features modern aesthetics and an all-new microtexture exterior that, combined with a premium feature set, make it the ultimate in rooftop cargo boxes.

Yakima teamed with Sunflare (sunflaresolar.com) in the design of CBX SOLAR, the first mass-produced, premium-level cargo box with an integrated solar panel. Sunflare, based in La Verne, Calif., is the first company to successfully mass-produce light, thin, flexible, and durable CIGS (copper indium gallium selenide) solar panels, which are 75 percent lighter and 95 percent thinner than standard c-Si (crystalline-silicon) panels. Sunflare’s CIGS panels are capable of withstanding high impact; are impervious to heat, wind, and cold; and will not crack.

“Yakima’s ingenuity made them a great partner,” said Philip Gao, Sunflare’s CEO. “We’re excited that we were able to work with them to increase their product’s value for their customers and dovetail with their value of sustainability. It’s customers like Yakima who demonstrate that solar adoption can be incredibly rewarding.”

The integrated 36-watt panel on the CBX SOLAR cargo box produces a 5-volt (3-amp max.) output through two USB ports, making it a completely green way to power a campsite or tailgate/trailgate activity. It enables users to harness the power of the sun to charge portable batteries and devices without having to drain their car battery or even start their vehicle.

Cargo boxes in the CBX collection will have MSRPs of $849, $949, and $1,299 for the 16, 18 and SOLAR models, respectively. The line will be available at retail locations, digital retailers, and at Yakima.com in mid-August.

Also introduced at Outdoor + Snow Show were OnRamp, Yakima’s first bike rack specifically designed for e-bike consumers, and GrandTour Lo, a low-profile addition to the GrandTour collection of premium cargo boxes debuting this spring. Like the CBX line, these products will be available for Fall 2020.
